Braided Mittens

Here is another recent desing for Scarlet Fleece. The mittens are knit with It's Tubular X2, Scarlet Fleece's fantastic sock yarn. This is a quick knit that would be great for a Christmas gift. Ask your local yarn store for the pattern. If they don't have it, they can order the pattern and the yarn from www.scarletfleece.com. Of course It's Tubular X2 is also fantastic for socks, and they make great gifts too.

Exclusively on Patternfish

Just a little change, all my "for sale" patterns are now exclusively on Patternfish. I have done this for a couple of reasons, they are great to work with and have given me really great exposure to clients I would otherwise not have had, and it is just easier for me to only have to deal with one entity rather than multiple websites, download services, etc.

Please let me know if you have any problem, but I don't think you will. In fact, I am sure you will find many gems on the Patternfish site. Check it out if you haven't yet visited Patternfish

Laundry season half way over

Football season (better known as laundry season) is in full swing, with my washing machine getting it's daily workout. Luckily, one of them practices on the turf, so they just stink, but they don't have any stains. My other son practices in the mud/ grass - I try to make him wear the black pants rather than the white ones!

I have been busy with submissions and designs but have squeaked in a bit of time for fun knitting. I did a short hooded poncho last week out of super bulky Cascade. It is a Gedifra Pattern calling for their Highland Alpaca - the Cascade was on sale, and was in my colors....so that is what I bought. Pictures soon.

I am also doing a felted bag with cables for a charity event. I think I am going to like it, so I plan on writing up the pattern. Lastly I am doing a raglan sleeve pullover using some tweedy Noro from the stash....then, I have a few other things rolling around in my head. Who knows.
