May in Indy - Race Time!

What a fun day. I just love it when something truly unexpected pops up, and today was a great example. A good friend called yesterday to tell me that she had an extra ticket to the CARA Fashion Show.

It was a wonderful charity event benefitting Riley Hospital for Children, which is truly a place where miracles happen here in Indianapolis. There were some lovely fashions, and cute models of all ages. One in particular you may have seen on the dance floor last year. Remember that yellow suit? He was wearing "the" yellow suit!

Thanks BS and SU for a fun afternoon. To the rest of you - sorry about my less than stellar photography. I hate it when my subject moves!

I made the blog!

This is me....I do look pretty goofy, but I guess that is just how I look. Steph had just signed my copy of her book, and Rams had just told her that I was about to be published in Interweave Felts (so it better actually happen!)
Thanks to Rams and to Stephanie Pearl McPhee, better known as the Yarn Harlot.

My buddy Sandra from Wednesday afternoons knitting at Mass Ave Knit Shop is wearing a blue shirt in the 2nd row, right next to Rams.

My head is sticking out on the right side toward the back. But I am there. I sat next to a couple of very nice knitters from Ft. Wayne and in front of baby Sabine and her Mom. What a great night. We learned that knitters are smart! We all knew that, but now we know why. Go out and buy the book please.
