Spring!! Spring!! Spring!!

I guess that really means rain! rain!! rain!! That is fine, because I have sooo much knitting to do. I submitted several designs to a yarn company, and a group of them were accepted (me dancing around the family room.) I should be getting my big box of yarn any day now, and that is when the real work will begin. I am anxious to begin, and I hope I will not feel too overwhelmed. I have been watching for the mailman faithfully.

Meanwhile, here is a funky felted bag for spring. I wonder what Stacey and Clinton would think about it.....I am sure they would think it is fabulous!

By the way, the dog is Morel, she is named after mushrooms. Morels will be popping up within the next couple of weeks. Oh, what if the knitting job and mushroom hunting conflict?? That would be bad, but a nice walk in the woods is good for the brain, and a sharp mind is crucial for pattern writing. I think I can do both (got to make it work.)

Spring is on the way (I hope)

Spring should be right around the corner....eventually, anyway. I have had an idea mulling around in my head since last summer about a mesh tunic to wear over a cami, so I think now is the time to let it out. It will be loose fitting, but will have some shaping at the waist and in the sleeves. If I can get enough time, I hope to get it all worked out this week and be able to offer a pdf in a week or two.

The swatch is a sneak peak...but who knows, I may decide on a different stitch pattern. The yarn is Nature Cotton Patagonia which has been in my stash since last June. I forgot about it, then found it....surprise!!!! A good thing.
