Well, not quite that infrequently, but it is getting darn close!
Here is what is up -
I have been furiously designing and knitting for Scarlett Fleece. It has been loads of fun, countless hours of knitting, but I am very pumped up about it. The designs will be public after TNNA in June. Check out the yarn though, and tell your LYS that they should carry it. It is just lovely. They have some great colorways in a variety of yarns. They just added roving too. I also have a felted item to be published in a magazine this fall. More details after I actually see it in print. I do not want to jinx it.
I have also been teaching classes at my home. I always love to knit with a group, and this is a nice way to do it, you know, bringing others in to the fold(cult). The world needs more knitters...plenty of yarn for all of us. I hope to continue this, and I am planning on doing some classes for kids this summer.
Lastly, I went to see the Yarn Harlot at Barnes and Noble up in Carmel (sounds like candy - not like the town in northern California). She was so funny that my jaws started to hurt from laughing so hard. If you ever get the chance to see her, my advice is to go. You know it is kind of weird, because if you read her blog and books, you really do feel like you know her, and she really seemed to know all of us. She took time to talk with everyone that stood in line for a personalized signature in her new book. Plus she gave us more info on something we already know ..knitters are smart. Also, there is a good chance that knitting prevents alzheimers. Just keep knitting, just keep knitting. You can chant this while you knit.
I am a dunce, and I forgot to take my camera. I did take some pictures with my phone, but I don't know how to get them off the phone and on to my computer. I think you have to have email or access to the internet on your phone. I don't have that. Seems like you should be able to also do it with some type of cord, but I don't have that either. I will put my teenager on the case.
